Not just for Printers…

Hexicom Software’s flagship solution ePrint MIS has long been associated with Printers, signage providers, promotional product suppliers, and print managers, but this is not the case for some of our more recent new customers who have joined the Hexicom Community…

Some of our recent newcomers are finishing specialists in Australia and in New Zealand. In addition to these finishing businesses, some clients also add mailing services (selected overprinting included).

While these companies work very closely with printers, they actually don’t do any printing themselves, but like many businesses they require an MIS workflow software to manage the “Estimate –Job -Invoice” process. Regardless of what they actually do in the overall “Print Workflow”, they needed a solution that is robust enough to handle their way of calculating their job costs often using complex formulas depending on the specific print finishing or mailing service they are providing.

Wayne Rubin, Director at Twin Loop Binding in Sydney has hundreds of printers as his customers, and he provides print finishing solutions like saddle stitching or perfect, spiral and wire binding. Within the Hexicom MIS solution Wayne makes extensive use of the “Other Costs” module to determine set up and run costs for each type of binding his business provides. “Using the Hexicom ePrint MIS software functions I can have quantity breaks, coupled with thickness and size combinations – it’s so awesome,” says Wayne…

… The team at Hexicom really took the time to understand my business throughout their tailored implementation & training program, and now my business, plus my customers get to benefit from our deployment of the ePrint MIS software.”

In New Zealand, Sharp Print Finishers – do just that; they are print finishers and that is it. Similar to Twin Loop, they needed a solution that was flexible enough to add their specific processes and costs to provide customers with accurate and easy quotations. Once the quote is approved it is progressed to become a job and an in-house job ticket is created to advise the team what needs to be accomplished, once the finishing process is completed they invoice from the system and then the invoice data flows into their Xero cloud accounting package as Hexicom are approved partners of Xero.

If you are not a printer, but you need a solution that will allow you to progress and process your work through your plant, investigate a simple easy solution to get you there.
